Mega Plastics

Mega Plastics

From humble beginnings to Mega dreams this small family business has grown to be a major player in the plastics industry.

Jim and Helen Litaridis commenced their business less than 13 years ago in rented premises using only basic second hand extrusion equipment.

Breaking into a competitive industry was never going to be easy and so reliance on Bryant & Bryant’s professional advice became second nature for Jim as he confronted numerous issues from competitive pressures to outdated equipment to funding needs, insurance protection and tax effective business structures.

As the old axiom says “whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” and certainly Jim who is now ably supported by sons John and George has taken a forward step after every hurdle.

Jim and his sons are the first to agree that they gained the confidence to go forward because of the supporting role played by Bryant & Bryant and when it came to financing new and costly equipment from overseas the professional finance team from Bryant & Bryant were there to not only secure the funding, but to offer practical advice on exchange control and hedging issues to safeguard their investment.

With the new machinery purchase came also the need for new and larger premises and again the experienced team at Bryant & Bryant were able to offer advice and recommend the correct business structures that made possible the purchase of their own factory through their Self Managed Superannuation Fund.

Jim and Helens small beginnings are now seen as the start of a business dynasty which has extended to their sons and in later years will embrace their grandchildren.

Well done Mega Plastics - Bryant & Bryant will continue to partner with you as your promising and exciting future unfolds.
